"Onset of Russian Nanotechnologies in World Market: Experience of Success and Collaboration, Problems and Perspectives"

The conference will be held in the St.- Petersburg Academic University - Nanotechnology Research and Education Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences.  The conference aims to gather  representatives from various Russian education, research, and business  centers and some international nanotechnological structures.

The conference aims:
To denote and discuss main ways of cooperation and self-organization of the domestic keepers of intellectual rights and business structures in the nanotechnological area with the aim to increase the competitiveness,  copy-right safety, and wide demand of the domestic high-tech production, including intellectual one. To develop recommendations for creation of the favorable conditions for high-tech business in Russia and transfer of the innovation economy. To demonstrate the progress in the domestic (including S.-Petersburg) scientific and engineering areas and scrutinize the experience of  foreign companies.

The conference scope:
- application of nano- and other high technologies to industry as a necessary step for the transition
  to the innovation economy and 6th technological stage;
-  intellectual property and copy-right;
- role of technical regulation and metrology in promoting the nano-production to a world market;
- forms, ways, and stimuli of commercialization of the research results; market of intellectual 
  property  in nano-industry and human innovation potential for its formation and development;
- stories of success in nano-market: analysis of the experience; 
- role of nongovernment organizations in creation of the favorable conditions for high-tech
  business  and international collaboration.

The program will include the plenary talks, talks at round tables, posters, exhibitions, and technical tours.The conference languages are Russian and English.

Time Schedule:
October 4– arrival,
October 5– opening, plenary session, welcome party,
October 6– parallel sessions and round tables,
October 7– a.m.: parallel sessions, business presentations, technical tours,
               – p.m.: final plenary session, closing, organizational NtSR session,
October 5-7 -  exhibition and poster session, 
October 8– social program, departure.

Conference venue:
S.-Petersburg,  Khlopina str. - 8, building 3. 

Key deadlines:
June 15        -  early registration with the discount fee,
                       -  abstract submission,
                       -  registration, 
                       -  visa forms (for foreign participants),
September 1submission of manuscripts for proceedings.

Abstracts and proceedings:
The talks are included to the conference program by the Program Committee after consideration of the submitted abstracts. The abstracts must be presented in the electronic form  (MS Word, A4 format, up to two pages).  The accepted talks may be submitted to the conference proceedings which will be published as a separate issue.  The rules for the proceedings submission will be announced later.

Conference fee:
The conference fee covers the conference materials,  translation of the talks, coffee breaks, welcome party, and technical tours.
The conference fee amounts:
for Russian participants – 10000 rub (discount  fee – 7000 rub),
for foreign participants – 600 euro (discount fee  – 400 euro),
for NtSR members, graduate and PhD students  – 2000 rub (discount fee  – 1000 rub),
for accompanying persons – 3000 rub (discount fee – 2000 rub).
Financial conditions for juridical persons are arranged separately. 
The payment is provided after acceptation of the attendance by the Organizing Committee.

Additional information:
The Organizing Committee does not provide the transport transfer and accommodation.
